Rant

Recently I ran across a blog that was not very nice. It wasn’t nice to me or to anyone else for that matter. The person who wrote this seems to be a very lonely person and looking for attention. Probably from the very people he or she is hurting.
I would like to address some of the issues that he or she mentioned regarding myself. This person and I used to be friends and write together (I know that I said I would never mention it again, but after reading the blogs it seems that I should).
1. Stolen Book
a. The book that was supposedly stolen was one I created from my own head.
b. He or she had the idea to do a series of books that crossover at certain points.
c. I admit to using parts of her work for that, as per the crossover idea.
d. I did rearrange, rename, and redo descriptions of places and people so that it was no longer her work.
2. Stolen Tattoo Idea
Original Tattoo Idea.
a. When I was speaking with this former friend, the tattoo I recently got, was the one I was going to get with him or her.
b. I had decided not to get one and recently decided to treat myself to finally getting it. This being prompted by my husband getting his nipples pierced.
c. I searched for over a month to find the original tattoo I wanted to get. It was a butterfly with the HIM symbol of a heartagram in the center. The tattoo artist made some modifications to the original and I love the one I got (picture below).
3. Other Things I’ve Supposedly Stolen
a. I am not a thief.

b. She says that I have stolen many of her book ideas. How can I do that when I’m blocked by HER or by ME? Blocked means that you can’t see what someone else is doing. Am I right?
c. I have NOT read any of her recent work nor do I care to do so.
4. Rudeness to My Fans
Final Tattoo by Emi Ink @ Voodoo Tattoo and Piercings
a. If I have them I don’t know about them.
b. In one blog he or she says that he or she witnessed me treating said fans like they were dog shit. (Not what he or she used, but it works).
c. We weren’t around each other long enough to meet any ‘fans’ that either of us may have had. Nor are there.
5. Bitterness
a. He or she claims that my husband and I are pissed off that he or she refused to become friends again. Not true.
b. If someone is y our friend, there doesn’t need to be stipulations. If my husband can’t talk to you or about you then I don’t want to talk to you. My husband is a part of me.
c. Also this former friend claims that my husband was always lurking when he or she was around. WRONG! My former friend was hardly ever around. I went across the country to meet this person and get our careers started. Then I’m left in a strange city with strange people and the only person I’m speaking to is the dude down the hall. My former friend was only around three times after I got there. His or her birthday, a weekly visit with his or her dad, and then to bitch me out because I kissed the dude down the hall.
I think this is enough for now. I just had to get this off my chest. I’m also going to try and blog a lot better from now on.

Later.

Writing Prompt for Me

Pick a picture and send me a link to it. Message me with it or leave a comment.

Tell me the genre and names you want used. Give a small background and I'll go from there.

TV Shows -- In Plain Sight and Once Upon A Time

-- In Plain Sight --

So the current season of In Plain Sight is the final season. I really hate that idea! However, there is nothing to be done about it.
I’ve enjoyed watching Mary and Marshall for the past five years. Mary has changed yet stayed the same and I love seeing her as a mother. Marshallstill has a soft spot for Mary and I don’t think he can cope with his feelings for her, so he met someone else. Whether they get marries or not before the end of the series is up for debate. I’m still hoping that Mary comes to her senses and cuts that off before it gets too far.

Thank you to the folks at USA for bringing us this great show and it will be missed.

-- Once Upon a Time --

I love this show! It’s my favorite of the current season and I love it more thanBones if you can believe that. I am a fan of procedural shows a.k.a drama series. ButOnce Upon a Time tugs at the heart strings and makes you think differently about every fairytale you’ve ever heard.

The dynamic between Mary Margaret (Snow White) and Emma (her daughter, though they don’t believe it) is amazing. Not to mention the connection that Emma has with her son, Henry is great.

The acting is great and the chemistry between the actors is plain fun to watch. You can almost believe that the Regina (The Evil Queen) really is evil though I'm sure the actress, Lana Parilla, is a lovely woman. The talent that they've found for this show is nothing short of amazing.

I am hoping this show makes it for another season and I can’t wait for the finale!

Fake & Trea

-- FAKE --

Description -- Addyson and the other detectives are back. This time they are hunting a killer of teenage girls. They are a small group of rich kids that live or have lived on the river. They all share a secret. Could one of them be the killer?

This time Addyson has help from someone she's only began to get to know and she doesn't know how to handle what's coming. Will she be able to cope with the fallout? Or will everything she loves fall to pieces?

he idea for this book came from a combination of my two nieces, Brandy and Michelle. Michelle came up with the idea of the book being about princesses (she must be in that phase). Since Brandy helped withBallerina I wanted Michelle to help with a book; however, she couldn't get the idea that princesses don't belong in adult books. I was taking a bath and trying to writeRecreational Murder (book four in the Delta Series) when Brandy burst into the room, no I don't lock the door because everyone can break in anyway, and asked what I was doing. I told her and we started talking about the next book. It had been swirling around in my head for awhile at that point.

I mentioned the idea that Michelle had had and Brandy suggested that I do rich girls. I liked the idea because I could at least give props. Then I said I could kill them by drowning. We both liked that idea. So I wrote a few notes at the back ofRecreational Murder and waited until I could get to a new notebook.

With Fake everything has come a bit too easily so I’ve been tossing other things into add some meat to the book and getting it to where I want it to go. I knew how I wanted the book to end once I figured out who the killer was. I knew the dialogue and the setting.

As of this moment there are 25 chapters and I have no idea how many there will be at the end. At least 35, if not more. I am liking this book and am enjoying the writing of it.

Please keep reading to find out about Trea Bella-Donna.

-- Trea Bella-Donna --

Description -- Trea Bella-Donna is a teenager in love. She loves her boyfriend, her girlfriend, and her friends; but when they make a pact that, in a way, benefits them all, jealousy takes over and Trea is forced to react.

What makes a teenager in love turn into a murderous and hormonal psychopath?

Can the police figure out who is behind the killings before the last friend falls?

In reading the novella you will find familiar scenes, such as the interview with Trea and her friends.

Again the writing for this has come easy.
I look forward to more.

See you soon,

SM Garcia

New Stuff, Old Stuff

Reviews

I am finally caught up! Only taken most of the first half of the season, but I'm caught up! The reviews forUnforgettable are short, but they are reviews. My favorite are the ones for American Horror Story and Once Upon a Time. They were the easiest to do, but AHS took the longest because I had to go back and watch the episodes again.Revenge was pretty easy too, thanks to ABC and all the episodes being online.

Recreational Murder

The cover is being worked on as we speak and as soon as I have the finished product I will be posting it. I can't wait to see it. My friend's daughter has been working really hard on it and is in the final stages, hopefuly, of getting it done. I admit that working on the fourth book has been a challenge. I can't seem to find Muse on this one, though I can get through the chapters. Though I have a big problem as my handwritten stuff is gone. It fell out of my bag and now my husband has put it somewhere. I'll have to look for it later.

Sai

I am excited about this novel. The idea just kind of hit me while I was working one night. I found a pile of blank printing paper and it was just staring at me, daring me to use it. So I did and had five chapters done in record time. By the end of my shift, I had about six chapters done, I think. I need to actually write down when I started this so I can keep track of how long it takes. Right now Sai is a working title, so if you think of something better please let me know. If not,Sai stays.

Dreamland Theater

This is that old story that I told you about. I have been working on typing it up and making chapters. It started as a short story three years ago and I had completely forgotten about it until I started looking for RM. I was happy to have found it. I was really into working on it the first time. I'll have more on the background of it later and I will be posting the chapters as soon as I get it near complete.

Twelve Months

This is taking a bit of time because I still have to figure out the how I want it to go. I'm not really upset that its taking so long, because it's something, like the Reviews, that is to help me focus more on the other writing. A way to work through my writer's block. So I'm not in a real hurry to finish this off right away, though I am thinking of adding a few characters. Two male and two female. Summer and Spring (female) along with Winter and Fall (male). These four will be different as they will be (maybe) two same sex couples. Might even change the title of the book. At this point, I'm unsure. Again, I need to write down when I started this because I want to know how long it takes me.

Endless Soul

This one is a bit more difficult to do. I am at a loss and hopefully my other works will help me get over the block I seem to have for this novel. I will keep you posted.

Writers Cafe and More

Writers Cafe

I have been away for awhile. Posting every once in awhile if I had poem or short story. If you watched my status updates it’s because I was sick. Everyone in my house was sick, everyone at work was sick. Concentrating at home wasn't going to happen; concentrating at work wasn't going to happen. I finally just stopped altogether. None of it was good.
Finally, I decided to take a break and write if I felt like it. This was a tactic that worked in the past, well, it wasn't working this time. It was like writer's block, but worse. The story was there; just not accessible because of how I was feeling. I was falling asleep at home while talking to my grandmother and my husband. I was falling asleep at work, which was not something I did.
Now, I've heard from friends on here that people are bashing me, well, don't expect me to bash back. I know who the person is (sorry to be repeating myself if I've addressed this before). I don't steal people's work; I do everything by hand and in front of witnesses. A co-worker even wrote something about it. I would like to thank her.
I am also tired of people leaving rude reviews on my work. If you have mean things to say, please send them in a message and I will respond. I know people will probably think that if I can’t handle the reviews of amateurs that I have no business being a writer, possibly true. However, stating that I write like a grade schooler is just plain mean. I think I write very well and so do many others.
If you can’t be nice, then don’t read my stuff.
This is the last I’ll mention it.

Novels
I am currently working on four novels:Recreational Murder (Delta Files 4), Sai(working title, if you have something better, please leave a comment), Twelve Months (I’m thinking of adding a couple of seasons in there or making a short novel to add to the end of this), and Endless Soul (a story I started and finished before, but think it could be better).
I will also be working on some of my old novels that I’ve found. I hoping to make some changes and see what happens.
Not only that I am working on my Reviewsbook which has been helping me get back into the swing of writing. After not writing for a few weeks, I needed to get focused and the reviews of the new shows I watch has helped to do that. I am enjoying Once Upon a TimeRevenge,Unforgettable, and American Horror Story. So if you don’t comment or read these, that’s fine. They’re for me anyway.
That’s all for now.

Ballerina and More

I am giving myself one month to complete three novels. Dew is almost done and should be done by the end of the month. The other two I'm just trying to get enough of each thing. I think that maybe the short story collection is done. Then again maybe I'll just try to get over 300 pages first.

Short Stories
The short story collection is called The Scorned American and I'm pretty proud of it. There are only twenty-two short stories and it's at 256 pages and counting.

Ballerina
Is completed! It's published and you can find the link on my profile or website.

Dew
Dew is still on hold, but I'm getting closer to the end of her novel. I've enjoyed how it's progessed and I think it may actually be the quickest novel I've written. I'll have to look, but I've only been writing it a short time and it's almost done.

Poetry
The new poetry collection is called Bored and Bleeding. I'm really excited about it, too. I've been working really hard to get a better poetry book together. I'm trying to have a wider range of Miscellaneous poetry so that it's not just a bunch of short poetry. Nor will the poetry be flowery. I am trying to get in touch with my darker side a bit. Can't wait to see how that goes.

Website
Because of how many books I had and the limited pages I could add to my website, I needed to get another webiste just for the books. On the book website you can find out how long it took me to write each one, the price, and a little bit about each one. Take a look at the Official M Garcia website and the Official M Garcia Novelwebsite.
I think that's everything, but hey, who knows. Keep an eye out for another blog at some point.

Dew. Ballerina, and More

Short Stories
Pretty much every dream I have lately turns into a short story, if I can remember it. The reason being that I'm working on a collection of short stories to turn into a book. I have been slowly working on this at work, getting the paging right and the spacing. I have a title for the book. I have a table of contents about a page long and collection of stories just under 200 pages. I'll be adding more as I complete each short story. I'm a little excited. I've been planning on doing this for awhile now, but I lost all of my old work because the computer crashed and so did the back up. Years worth of work LOST and I wanted to cry. In the end I figured this was a good thing because I could start over.

Ballerina
This book is almost completed. I've been aiming for at least 40 chapters and am at 39 now in handwritten pages. I'm excited about this book because in my last blog I wanted my character to focus a bit more on police work and family life and that's just what she's done for the last two books. In the fourth book, I'll probably have to give into her and give her more sex scenes Not too many more, but just enough so she gets what she wants and I get what I want. I figure at good balance works for both of us, right? Compromise at its best, I suppose.

Dew
Is technically on hold. Just until I get Ballerina finished. I'm thinking the reason that I've stalled on this project is because I'm working on two of them at a time and Dew isn't feeling very loved. I do know that this will be the only Dew novel. Writing for her is just something to pass the time and she knows it. She accepts it and feels her story will be completely told with this book. If not, well there's always a short story. *grins* I like working with Dew she's easy going. Not pushy.

Poetry
I am also working on another poetry collection. This one is going to take some time to do. I know how I want to set it up and that's what I'm going to do. I think I'm going to separate it into sections by type of poem: Acrostic, Haiku, Senryu, etc. Put as man Haiku's and Senryu's as I can to a page. I want to try and have at least a hundred poems for the collection. That is gonna be quite the undertaking, but working 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. I can do it. I only have about 2 hours of actual work that needs to be done and it's spaced over the entire eight hours. That's a lot of time with nothing to do. I do mean a lot. I haven't got everything started like I do with the short stories, but I should have something workable tonight. I'm also excited about this as I've been wanting to do more with my poetry. I've been wanting to do another poetry book.

Website
Please check out my website. I work hard to keep it up, but with all the writing I've been doing lately it's hard to keep up. Maybe if I get rich I can afford to hire someone to take care of it for me. HA! I don't see it happening but it's a nice thought. Anyway, check it out. I've worked hard to create a nice website to showcase my writing and get myself out there.
I think that's everything, but hey, who knows. Keep an eye out for another blog at some point.

The Muse and I

For the most part, I rule the writing, at least i like to think so. I know that the muse rules the writing and just lets me think I do. It can be a little off putting when dealing with her. She understands the writing process and the creative process, but she wants what she wants and doesn't care as long as she gets what she wants.
Addyson is much like another character I have, she wants her needs met and if they aren't it can be like someone takes control over the pen and she gets what she wants. Addyson is very complicated and doesn't want to show just how complicated she can be. Yes she enjoys sex with woman, but its more of a comfort thing. She turned to it after she was raped at 15 by her boyfriend. Addyson was so ashamed of what had occurred that sleeping with women still allowed her to have sex. She eventually began trying sex with men again and sought therapy.
I do like writing for Addyson and the rest of the Delta group, but I find myself wishing that she would stick more to police work and her family and friends than sex. How do you get an imaginary friend to cooperate when you both want two different things? I've tried working on short stories and nothing doing. When I comeback to her book, she still wants the sex. I don't mind the girl on girl sex, its real life and it happens, but she is married to man and should act as such sometimes.
*shrugs* Maybe sometimes its best to let a character have free reign and see what happens? Who knows; however, maybe its best to keep them in check as much as possible.

Welcome

For the next little bit there is going to be a rush of blogs. I am not the best blogger, but I'm going to try and be better at it.
